Responsibilities

The HVAC Mechanic shall have a minimum of five (5) years experience. This position requires travel to multiple sites throughout Northern Virginia. A company truck and gas card are included. The shift is Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm with overtime as required. Salary $39.00-$41.00 per hour.

  • Complete routine PM's (change filters, belts, clean coils, bearing lubrication, etc.)
  • Diagnose/repair (indoor/outdoor, motor replacements, component replacements, humidifiers, T-stats, fuses, contactors, relays, transformers etc.)
  • AHU's, RTU's, FCU's, WSHP's, Split Systems, CRAC units, VAV's, and other various types of mechanical HVAC equipment
  • Perform Refrigerant recovery and recycling
  • Operate Building Energy Management System (EMS) and associated building controls  
  • Interface with building managers and other customer representatives in order to ensure client satisfaction
  • Accurately document work performed on trouble tickets or work orders
  • Place and/or remove systems, hardware and equipment as required
  • Purchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completion
  • Perform other related duties as assigned 

 

Qualifications

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Must have clean driving record
  • VA HVAC journeyman license preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience working on commercial HVAC systems
  • Completed coursework in HVAC areas
  • Must have working knowledge of 480V and below electrical systems, HVAC and plumbing system
  • Universal CFC Certification preferred
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in building operations
  • Must be able to pass background check 
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced work environment
