Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable, subcontractor payments, and accounts receivable/cash receipts.
  • Handle and update subcontractor required documents, such as lien waivers & contracts.
  • Sales & Use tax assistance (DC, MD & VA)
  • Run monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations
  • Communicate and partner with Project Managers.
  • Invoice workflow assistance.
  • Ensure efficiency and accuracy across all accounting functions.
  • Support Donohoe Development with monthly lender packages.
  • Assist with year-end audits.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or Related Field
  • 2+ years of experience as accountant, project accountant, or similar
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, primarily Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to interact well with colleagues and external contacts
  • Ability to work well under deadlines and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of internal controls
  • Experience with Oracle Textura and Autodesk preferred, not required

Physical demands: 

The work is mostly sedentary with periods of light physical activity. Employee to walk or stand for short or mid periods; lift and carry up to 20 pounds; climb stairs, bend, reach, hold, grasp, and turn objects; and operate standard office equipment (computer, keyboard, phone and printer). The work requires the ability to speak clearly and to see and hear clearly with or without correction. 

 

Work environment:

Primary work is performed indoors in a standard office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is subject to inflexible deadlines. Employee may be subject to work beyond the normal scheduled work hours.

 

Telework:

As a full-time corporate-office based job, this position is eligible for teleworking in accordance with the Company’s Telework Policy. Approval by the position’s supervisor and Division President is required.

 

Pay Range:

The expected base pay range for this position is $72,000 - $82,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors such as qualifications and experience.
