Responsibilities

We are seeking a Building Management System (BMS) Operator to monitor, control, and optimize the performance across campus. This role ensures that all BMS components, including HVAC controls, energy management systems, and electronic monitoring devices, function efficiently to support institutional goals related to energy conservation, occupant comfort, and system reliability.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

BMS System Operation and Optimization:

  • Monitor, adjust, and optimize BMS software and hardware to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Review building settings and ensure that all BMS-enabled buildings function appropriately.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot system malfunctions to minimize downtime.
  • Provide support for energy management programs such as demand response.
  • Ensure understanding of GW networks and systems to minimize disruptions of service.

 

System Maintenance, Repairs, and Upgrades:

  • Repair, calibrate, and inspect electronic devices associated with BMS.
  • Perform system adjustments, including changing building set points, adjusting parameters,
  • modifying schedules and replacing controllers or circuit boards.
  • Install new control wiring and systems as needed to support BMS infrastructure.
  • Test and verify operating system upgrades for optimal response and security.

 

Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Salary: $72,000 – $95,000 depending on experience.

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in BMS operation, programming, maintenance, and optimization, preferably in a multi-campus or institutional environment.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC automation, control theory, and energy management principles. 
  • Industry certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Automation Professional (CAP), or BACnet® International Certification preferred.
  • Experience with Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Trane, or other leading BMS platforms preferred.
