We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Applications Engineer to join our growing team in Washington, DC. This entry-level role is perfect for someone with a strong technical background who is eager to support software and hardware application development, testing, and customer integration. You will work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and clients to ensure successful deployment and support of technical solutions. M-F 6 am to 2:30 pm. Salary $23.00 per hour to start.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of software and hardware applications
Provide technical support to clients and internal teams on application functionality and usage
Help prepare documentation, technical specifications, and training materials
Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with development teams to implement solutions
Participate in client meetings to understand requirements and provide technical guidance
Support QA testing and validation of application features and bug fixes
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to company products
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
0–2 years of experience in a technical support, development, or applications engineering role
Basic knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Familiarity with CAD, APIs, databases, or cloud technologies is a plus
Preferred Skills (not required):
Experience with customer support platforms or ticketing systems
Exposure to systems integration or automation projects
Knowledge of industry-specific applications (depending on the employer’s field)
