Responsibilities

Complete Building Services is adding an experienced Building Engineer to our team. You will be supporting one of our educational partners in Alexandria, VA. Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The major job duties are listed below: 

  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspections of systems (mechanical/electrical/plumbing) and associated equipment.
  • Perform preventative and general maintenance on a scheduled basis.
  • Maintain equipment to industry standards.
  • Diagnose and minor repair HVAC/electrical/plumbing as required and/or as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Provide assistance and support to sub-contractors designated to perform installation and/or repair of equipment and/or hardware as required.
  • Interface with the building manager and other customer representatives to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports of the system status as directed by the supervisor.
  • Place or remove systems and equipment as directed.
  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly and monthly reports of system status and work completed.
  • Prepare predictive maintenance on assigned equipment to prevent breakdowns and/or outages.
  • Accurately document work performed on tickets and/or work orders.

Qualifications

We are looking for:

  • 5-10 years of experience operating and maintaining commercial buildings/familiarity with chillers/boilers 
  • Must have strong BAS experience
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills
