Responsibilities

Complete Building Services (CBS), is in search of a full-time on-site Facilities Manager to support a large facility in Culpeper, VA. The Facilities Manager (FM) will be experienced in the management and supervision of building mechanical and maintenance operations. The FM will manage all maintenance, emergency repairs, service calls, lead the on-site technical team, and serve as the technical point of contact. Compensation $110,000-$130,000 year. 

  • Manage all aspects of designated properties and supervise a staff of engineers and maintenance technicians
  • Participate in weekly customer meetings to review project status, service requests, preventative maintenance operations, and special requests
  • Oversee day-to-day vendor performance to assure full compliance with established standards
  • Manage the preparation and coordination of all maintenance programs relating to interior and exterior conditions and the appearance of buildings
  • Participate in the selection of contract services and vendor negotiation of service agreements
  • Aid in the preparation and coordination of fire, life safety, and other safety programs
  • Define project scope, solicit pricing, submit for approval, manage project on time and on budget, complete building
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure timely completion of work order request

 

Qualifications

  • Must have a mechanical background and experience as a Chief Engineer
  • Must have PMP and industry certifications such as IFMA, BOMI, or AFE, college degree preferred
  • A minimum of seven (7) years in the management and supervision of building mechanical and maintenance operations in facility of the same size and complexity 400,000 sq. ft. plus
  • Technical expertise in engineering and building infrastructure systems
  • Read and understand blueprints
  • Ability to plan, organize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and prioritize work
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and project tracking software
  • Provide error-free written correspondence such as progress and status reports, notifications, and executive summaries in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with a positive and cooperative attitude orally and in writing via briefings, public announcements, and meetings
  • Experience managing and coordinating emergency events involving a multitude of parties including tenants, law enforcement, and other officials
  • Demonstrated experience managing building reconstitution efforts after building closure due to damage or an emergency event
  • Must be able to provide and manage proposals of all disciplines, i.e. electrical, plumbing, general building maintenance, carpentry, and painting
  • Shall have the ability to work flexible hours as required in response to emergency situations
