Responsibilities

 

Reporting to the Corporate Director of Accounting, the Staff Accountant will provide full-cycle accounting duties for multiple hotels. Key duties include:

  • Preparing accurate and timely monthly financial statements, weekly bank and balance sheet reconciliations, monthly closing journal entries and sales/tax occupancy tax schedules
  • Reviewing daily revenue reporting submitted by hotel accounting staff; identify any discrepancies and work with team to resolve
  • Coordinating weekly check runs with Accounting Payable
  • Providing analytical, supplemental, and other data for hotel and corporate staff

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you should have an intermediate knowledge of Accounting principles, proven work experience as a full-charge bookkeeper or accountant for multiple entities and excellent communication and customer service skills.  A two-year Accounting Degree, Hotel Accounting experience and Excel proficiency is required. Must be detail-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks, work independently, prioritize work and meet deadlines.  M3 experience a plus.
