Overview

Complete Building Services, a building operations and facilities maintenance company, is seeking a Mechanic for a facility in Chevy Chase, MD. CBS is a division of The Donohoe Companies, Inc. - Washington's oldest real estate company.

 

The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.

Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain and repair the building's systems including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, plumbing
  • Ability to work with the client in a collaborative manner
  • Demonstrate professionalism and mutual support among employees and toward the client
  • Assist the PM with safety compliance
  • Participate in facilities scheduled PMs through the CMMS
  • Assist with adherence to local, state, and federal code including environmental compliance
  • Demonstrate competency in other disciplines such as HVAC, plumbing and/or electrical
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and prioritize work, as required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 

  • Must possess three to five years of experience with BAS operations, and knowledge of computer based work order systems
  • Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance as well as competency in disciplines such as HVAC, plumbing and/or electrical through a combination of education and experience
  • Shall be available for emergency contact via cell phone twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, 365 days a year
  • Shall be available to work flexible hours as required in response to emergency situations, and site needs
  • Training and certification in building related troubleshooting and repair
