Donohoe Construction Company is actively seeking a highly motivated Safety Manager with a focus on Base Building construction to join our team.   We pride ourselves on ensuring that our corporate culture, which is based on integrity, hard work and fair play, is evident from our office staff through to each job site.  We are currently seeking a Site Safety Manager for our construction project located in Baltimore, MD.


  • Administers client-specific and site-specific safety requirements
  • Maintains close and positive interface with client regarding safety performance
  • Maintains relationships with site leadership to assure a mutual understanding of project and company safety strategy, goals and objectives
  • Conducts site specific safety orientations
  • Ensures site adherence to both Donohoe and OSHA safety regulations
  • Manages site environmental compliance and awareness programs
  • Leads oversight and facilitation of the site specific safety plan process
  • Assumes a leadership role in the handling of all OSHA citations on site
  • Performs formal site safety inspections on a regular basis
  • Leads the incident investigation and documentation process
  • Has experience with training facilitation and development
  • Ensures the application of injury management protocols
  • Develops and maintains sound relationships with key subcontractors, to include collecting and reviewing required subcontractor documentation and conducting subcontractor safety meetings
  • Reviews all applicable federal and state regulatory standards




  • A minimum of five years of construction industry experience with an emphasis on safety expertise
  • Required: OSHA 30-Hour construction certification; Frist Aid & CPR certification
  • Highly preferred:
  • Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification
  • Maryland Occupational Safety and Health (MOSH) cooperative agreements experience



  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards
  • Excellent communication skills – written, presentation, and interpersonal
  • Possess a high degree of integrity and dedication to superior customer service
