Donohoe Real Estate Services, a full-service commercial real estate company in Bethesda, is seeking an energetic and motivated Commercial Property Manager to join our team of professionals. We offer an exciting opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who is both a team-player and experienced with multi-location, commercial office, industrial and retail property management.

This position is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of multiple properties in Montgomery County, Howard County, and north Prince George's County, including oversight of facility operations, preventive maintenance, and repair service functions. The position holder will manage employees, contractors, and building maintenance personnel. The role is integral to the overall objective of providing quality services and insuring the reliability of operations.

  • Develop and manage local property operating budget.
  • Manage loss prevention, injury prevention programs, and compliance with life safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance to applicable building, fire, electrical, mechanical system standards and codes.
  • Supervise and manage building maintenance personnel, contractors, and outsourced services.
  • Overall management of building repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Provide oversight for capital projects.
  • Effective cost management associated with maintaining the facility.
  • Supervise administrative support functions as required.
  • Develop facility operations and maintenance policies, procedures, and work instructions.


  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of commercial portfolio management experience.
  • Knowledge of building operations and systems, mechanical, HVAC, and a general understanding of construction.
  • Be an excellent team-player.
  • Leadership experience, building relationships, and negotiating with trades.
  • Ability to work with little oversight.
  • Ability to be both big-picture focused and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Budgeting and financials skills.
